This home in our Pine Island community is being built in conjunction with the Louisiana State University Agricultural Center to demonstrate a Gulf Region High Performance Home.

At Southern Homes, when we say Green Building, we mean Certified Green, according to the standards set by the National Association of Homebuilders.

• Advanced framing techniques employed such as trusses and panelized walls
• All HAVC equipment located in conditioned space to provide 30% more energy efficiency than code

Through the course of this project, we also earned the designation of GULF REGION HIGH PERFORMANCE BUILDER (GHRP) from LSU.
